Rogue Pictures has launched both the official website and MyTwinHauntsMe.com for The Unborn, opening in theaters on January 9.

At the official site, you can watch the trailer, but between the hours of 9pm and 9am you can also see the exclusive “After Hours” version of the trailer! In the ‘Media’ section, you can watch five new TV spots and the five previously-released clips. The ‘Downloads’ section features wallpapers, a screensaver and icons.

At MyTwinHauntsMe.com, you can browse through photos taken of Casey Beldon (Odette Yustman) in July 2007, which is when she claims she started seeing ghostly visions. Casey claims these photos prove she was haunted by her unborn brother… But what do YOU see?

The studios has also provided us with a gallery of new photos from the film, written and directed by David S. Goyer.

Retro horror rules 2009 with killer piranhas, sorority murders and 3-D remakes

With 2008 wrapping up, I can look back and honestly say that for the most part the year was full of mediocre horror movies. I still stand by my top five horror films of 2008, but it was a difficult list to pull together — there just weren’t that many good horror movies to choose from. But looking into the future, it appears that 2009 will be packed full of great horror, focused on remakes, retakes and 3-D!Without further adieu, I present to you my top 10 anticipated horror films of 2009 (in no particular order):

1.The Unborn: Platinum Dunes’ first stab at something “original,” this religion-themed horror flick looks like a combination of about 50 different movies in one. That said, it’s from the writer of The Dark Knight and it features the lovely Odette Yustman. The only downside? It’s rated PG-13.

ComingSoon.net spoke to Odette Yustman (Cloverfield, upcoming The Unborn) about a new action-comedy she’s starring in titled Rogue’s Gallery.

“It’s this independent movie. A small, dry-wit, dark comedy about a group of assassins, they’re all based on Tarot card names,” Yustman told us. “So I’m Temperence, and each of us have different functions and things we have to do.

“We’re hired by the government, we’re this underground society, and we’re basically sent to kill whoever we have to kill. And one day this new hire comes in and we wind up having to kill each other.”

She added that “It’s funny in that way that it’s kind’ve gory, but hilarious in the way the situations come about because I get to work with great comedic actors like Jeffrey Tambor, Zach Galifianakis and Rob Corddry who were unbelievable. And then Ving Rhames and Ellen Barkin, Maggie Q and Emilie de Ravin who’s on ‘Lost.’”

Why did the role appeal to her? “I got to do some fight training and some of my own stunts. That was my dream role. I get to kick ass, be funny, kill people with a paper cutter blade.”

Rogue’s Gallery does not have a release date yet.

Arrow in the Head had a quick convo with “The Unborn” star, Odette Yustman and she dished some details about David Goyer’s thoughts on a sequel.

“You know, that is quite a possibility. I know that David Goyer was talking about maybe doing a prequel. And hopefully working with Carla Gugino – she plays my mother in the movie – so maybe developing that story a little bit more and you could see why maybe her relationship with her father isn’t as strong as it should be and how the real story went down. So that would be a possibility, you know, if it’s a hit.”

If the whole movie turns out as good as the marketing teams has done at cutting and distributing the previews then this should be damn fine movie and worthy of a sequel. I guess it’s all up to the box office now – “The Unborn” hits theaters on January 9, 2009 – see you there.

One of the biggest hits last year was Cloverfield, the destroy-the-world monster movie told through the “recovered” footage of one victim’s video camera. With a concept like that, a sequel doesn’t seem too likely, but then again, this is Hollywood, and there’s a buck to be made. We checked in with actress Odette Yustman, the lovely star of Cloverfield, to see if she had any inside information. Read on after the jump to hear what the Unborn actress had to tell us:

“I did just have dinner with one of the producers. He kind of toyed with the idea that they might be coming out with a sequel. I haven’t heard anything yet, but I don’t think any of the original cast members would be in it. My guess is that they would probably go with the perspective of another group of people that experienced the same event. But, I haven’t really heard, so don’t quote me.”
